Hey guys, I want to talk to you today about a meeting I had. And it was over the phone with a new wholesaler, somebody who’s just getting into wholesaling. Actually they’ve done some deals. So we were talking about how to go from B to C, right? So they’ve already gone from A to B, but now how to go from B to C. And we dug through and we dug through and we uncovered something, and I see this all the time and I want to tell you about it because it’s vitally important. So here is the deal. We were talking about hiring an acquisition manager.
Now, what we do as coaches in Wholesaling Inc. is we focus on getting you your first deal. So we will take anybody and we will force them to get their first deal with simple instruction. We don’t care what you think, you know about wholesaling, we don’t care what you want to know about wholesaling, we tell you what to do, you check it out with a real estate attorney in your state and then you go and do it. You make a lot of mistakes, you take massive action and you get your first deal. That’s what we’re all about.
But this particular person is somebody who I’ve been working with and they’ve had success and they know how to go out and do deals. And they were struggling with getting an acquisition manager to do deals. So why were they struggling? So at first, we were going through and going through, and we even rang the victory bell a few times because they had some great wins. But as we uncovered, at first I was thinking, “Is this a technical problem?” And here’s what we found out. And this is so mind blowing because if you can’t get past this, you will always have created a job and never a business.
And here is what the stumbling block was. The reality of the situation was that this person was afraid that if he hired an acquisition manager, that the acquisition manager was going to take the business. Now this is so key. Okay, this is so key because do you realize how this little tiny belief… And this is absolutely a scarcity mindset, this is not an abundance mindset. This comes from a place of fear. It comes from a place of, we’re all given a thimble and we all have to draw from the same puddle. But some of us believe we’re given a whole bunch of buckets and we can draw every single day from an ocean.
So more for you does not mean less for me. More for you does not mean less for me. That’s why we’re Go-Givers. That’s why we, we share. There’s more than enough for everybody to go around because the truth is, that that is true. But there’s only a few amount of people who actually want it. Most people like kind of living on the farm as a cow. There’s not a lot of rhinos out there. So here’s the deal.
First of all, can acquisition managers go off on their own? Yeah. I have mentors who have had acquisition managers go on the road. So what? Who cares? There’s enough deals for everybody. If you have a scarcity mindset about the number of deals and you believe that more for me is less for you, or more for them is less for you, this comes from a scarcity mindset. You must have an abundance mindset because this limiting belief will stop you from growing.
Some people say, “Well, you can do things to mitigate that loss. You can not share with your acquisition manager, your marketing and this and that.” Who cares? It doesn’t matter. There are people who fill certain roles in life. It’s different strokes for different folks. Everybody doesn’t want to be an owner. There’s tons of grief that comes with it. There’s blessings and there’s burdens. Joel Olsteen talks about this, blessings and burdens. He has a great podcast episode about blessings and burdens. As you get that bigger house now there’s more to clean, there’s more upkeep, the taxes are more. As you get that expensive car, you get more upset when somebody dings it or when the kids spill apple juice in the backseat. So every blessing has a burden. And not everybody wants ownership.
So here’s the deal. If there’s one thing you can do today, if you want to grow your business, do not have a scarcity mindset. You need to adopt belief systems like there is no competition, there’s only collaboration. Don’t worry about what everybody else is doing. Stay in your lane, the race is with yourself. Don’t look over to Phelps, because if you look over to Phelps, you’re going to fall right behind him. So just stay in your own lane. It’s your own journey. As soon as you get to your first goal, you’re going to… What is Grant Cardone talk about? He goes from goal to goal to goal. Grant Cardone is going to die trying to achieve a goal. So is Gary Vaynerchuk. They’re going to die trying to achieve a goal.
You’re supposed to die trying to achieve a goal. As soon as you hit one goal, you got to set the next goal, and you’ve got to set a bigger goal, and then a bigger goal. So it is the journey. People talk about the journey or the destination. It’s the journey. So if you have that journey with a scarcity mindset, you’re always going to be living in fear. Remember one thing, when you face your fears, you find your freedoms. When you face your fears, you find your freedoms. So get out there, get an acquisition manager. If you guys need help trying to find an acquisition manager or where to get one or how to hire them or how to train them or how to implement them, we can talk about that, but 100% do not approach this topic with a scarcity mindset.
Don’t approach any topic with a scarcity mindset. This world is abundant. There’s abundance all around. We’re totally blessed and you can do this. If I can do it, you can do it. Anybody can do it. So just start with the right outlook and everything else will fall in place. I hope that that helps. We had this conversation and I said, “This is such a problem. So many people struggle with this. They don’t want to share information because they’re afraid. If they share it then they’ll lose it. There’ll be less for them.” That’s just not the case. It’s just not the way the world works. As a matter of fact, the exact opposite is true. The exact opposite of that is true. It’s the more you share, the more you give, the more you get. Make sure you’re tithing. There’s a lot of things that we could talk about on the peripherals of this topic, but these things are so easy, guys.
You don’t have to struggle. You don’t have to be a trailblazer. It’s all done for you. Pick up any business book and it’s all done for you. These people have already gone through the fire. They’ve already gone through the trial and tribulation, so we already know the answers. Being a Go-Giver is the way to go. If you struggle with this, you’ve got to read The Go-Giver. You’ve got to read the Go-Giver, you’ve got to read the Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity. These are two key books that will definitely help you. But hopefully that will shed some light on this topic if it’s something you’ve been struggling with.
